Douglas Zeisel, CEO
Since leaving teaching over 35 years ago, Doug has been a founder or co-founder of more than 6 enterprises, one of which was sold to a NYSE listed company (Teleflex®). He has also served in roles as Managing Director, CFO, COO and Chief Restructuring Officer. Doug’s career includes 10 years’ experience doing turnarounds and workouts as a Certified Turnaround Professional which required a deep knowledge and understanding of all aspects of business operations.
Doug also has experience as CFO partner at Tatum, a national professional services firm that provided interim management services to middle market companies. Doug has a M.S. in Finance degree from Loyola University and a B.S. (Physics) from the University of Maryland. He is a past University of Maryland Dingman Center Mentor and a past TEDCO RBI2 advisor to technology start up enterprises.
Rob Meissner, CMO
Rob has an extensive track record of creating successful “Go to Market” business strategies and marketing campaigns in both Fortune 500 companies and startup tech enterprises. He previously led the marketing efforts of an Ed Tech company that grew revenues from $0.5 M to $50 M in 5 years. Rob is highly experienced in product development and marketing and once led a business model restructuring for a division of a Fortune 500 company which produced over half that company's profits. Rob's resume includes stints at Compaq, Micron, CurrTech Integrations, NCR and others. Rob earned both B.S and M.S degrees in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the Darden School of the University of Virginia.
Susan Sagatov, Creative Director
Susan is a U.S. Army veteran and retired Department of Defense employee with over 41 years of experience. She worked at the National Security Agency as a language analyst using Russian, Estonian, Ukrainian, and at the National Cryptologic School (NCS) as a Russian instructor and instructional methodologist teaching other instructors how to improve their tradecraft and courseware. Susan was also a technology strategist at the NCS. In 2006 she began development on a new EdTech product designed to teach more effectively using multimedia. In 2013 her invention ScribeZone® was awarded a USG
Bogdan Sagatov, Ph.D, Director of Training and Development
Bogdan holds an MA and PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2015, after close to 30 years of service, he retired from the National Cryptologic School, where he served as Technical Director of the College of Language and Area Studies for several years. His areas of specialization include teaching methodology and computer-based instruction. He is the creator of the Internet website Russian Language Mentor, a highly regarded online curriculum, designed for improving reading and listening comprehension, cultural literacy, and grammar. Before beginning his government career, he taught at Duke University, and in the Goucher College/Johns Hopkins University Cooperative Russian Program where he was a tenured professor.
